[ #allin4ukraine ] Animal Rescue in Medyka

Recently, fellow photographer, Christophe Mendes, from Luxembourg left to Medyka (Poland) again. This time, with Morpheus. The mission was to fill two cars with animal food and care products for humans and to drive to the Poland/Ukraine border town. From there, they evacuated some pets out of Ukraine and helped giving the animals they were taking care of some care and affection.

The situation is bad for the pets left behind in Ukraine. Many activists and associations are deploying efforts to help the abandoned, sick or wounded animals but space is lacking and the question arises all the time about what is going to happen to all these furry friends if they don't find a new home... :-(

Medyka camp is one of the top refuges of the area with food, clean water and even heated shelters for most of the animals hosted here but a lot of help is now needed to find permanent solutions for the emergency situation most of the animals are in. You are welcome to get in touch in case you have suggestions of organisations or private individuals that are susceptible to be able to help with this.

In the meanwhile, LUkraine are still super active as a Luxembourg based support structure for Ukrainians. I will back in Luxembourg for the second half of May and I'm looking forward to seeing some of them again to discuss ongoing matters.
