Quick update on what is likely going to be the trip of the year in terms of #allineverywhere . I am working on my U.S. itinerary and I am still looking for potential travel partners in case anybody out there cares to join.
Thanks to Poker Firma who are supporting my plans of never going home, I think I will soon buy a ticket to Florida to cross the Atlantic in late April/early May since I have never been in southern eastern states. It's a bit far from my main Poker destination, Las Vegas, but, on the other hand, it will force me to go places before I reach Vegas and get stuck in the cash game and WSOP reporting grind.
It looks like Miami will be my entry point in the U.S. but that's not where I am genuinely interested in staying a lot. If the weather and flight conditions are right and no delay is announced, I would love to go watch the SpaceX take off of a Falcon 9 rocket launching a Dragon capsule to the International Space Station from Complexe 39A at Kennedy Space Center on 1st May.
From there, it will be Poker time with a lot of new locations I am planning to visit!
- visit TAMPA, Florida :: Poker at Seminole Hard Rock Casino
730km to Pensacola
- visit Pensacola, Florida :: Poker at Greyhound Track & Poker Room
330km to New Orleans
- visit New Orleans, Luisiana :: Poker at Harrah's
1600km to Roswell
- visit Roswell, New Mexico
150km to Sierra Blanca Peak
- hike/climb Sierra Blanca Peak, New Mexico 3625m
780km to Phoenix
ALTERNATIVE to save 5 nights: flight to Phoenix from New Orleans
- visit Phoenix, Arizona :: Poker at Talking Stick Resort
370km to Gran Canyon
- Gran Canyon, Arizona :: hike & photos
- reach Las Vegas, Nevada (late May/early June) 28-30 nights after landing in Florida
I will most likely stay in Nevada roughly until the end of the WSOP a bit after mid-July and I am thinking about making my way back to the East via the Great Lakes area towards NY & Atlantic City or maybe cross the Great Plains before some Mid West and Deep South states ...
