Big is Beautiful
I remember this plane being described as the aircraft of the future during its developing phase when I was following it as a kid. Well, the future has arrived in 2009. It's big and it's beautiful.
Boeing 787 quick facts:
Range: 14200 km
Length: 57 m
Weight: 118000 kg
Wingspan: 60 m
Top speed: 954 km/h
Number of seats: +/- 250 for the standard versions
Unit cost: about 211 million USD (as of 2013)
The direct competition is also looking good! One other of the big and beautiful ladies from the skies is the Airbus A350, another wide-body twin-engine engineering marvel of the last decades in aviation. Below is a photo of a Iberojet operated A350-900 series shot in Madrid on a layover between Brussels and Bogota.
The CNP crew has been dreaming BIG too in order to make their first live Poker stop in Colombia a reality and here I am updating my blog from my 11th floor of the Wyndham Bogota Art hotel with a view on the whole city.
If planes are not your thing and live Poker info is what you you were after, beam yourself to the POKER TRIPS section or visit the BOGOTA section of the blog to keep up with my adventures this week.
