I am excited, honoured and grateful that PokerFirma, the top German speaking Poker portal, have chosen me as one of their Las Vegas reporters for this year's World Series Of Poker (WSOP) period.
Vielen Dank für's Vertrauen!!
[ Thank you for your trust!! ]
We have agreed on the fact that it would make little sense to try to add value to the multiple WSOP coverages that are already in place. Results, chip counts, player portraits ... everything you need to know and see about what is going on in the WSOP tournaments can already easily be found on multiple websites including in our own PokerFirma WSOP updates.
Additional reporting projects include a collaboration with that old French(mad)man buddy of mine, Fabien Richard, who is back at it with his 'Au Coeur de Vegas' project and there are talks going on with PokerPT, the leading Portuguese Poker portal that I might feed with some of my photography as well in case they need some.
Let's be real, I will only arrive on Monday, the 8th November after the end of the U.S. travel ban for Europeans, with the Main Event (Event 67) already running, so I don't think it makes a lot of sense to jump in as one more reporter in the WSOP soup. The added value I will bring back from Vegas this year - appart from my own Poker winnings :D - is a focus on the place of the WSOP in Vegas featuring its past, its future and how it has generally contributed to the development of degen city over the decades. Expect urban shootings during my day and night walks, photo reports in the great outdoors, lifestyle reports and plenty of street and documentary photography.
Below, you'll find some shots of my last Nevada stop for PokerFirma back in 2016. Enjoy!
See you in the desert!
