Masks are still sticking in everybody's face but since many of the travel bans and restrictions are being lifted, I am doing some catching up in terms of traveling. After spending most of my summer in Portugal, I made a stop in Madrid this week for the plentiful Casino Gran Via cash games and I am now off to Luxembourg for some short family and buddy time before making my way to where summer never really started: Wallonia :-D
The Grand Casino de Namur is undergoing heavy works. Since Belgians are Belgians, they started the renovations with redesigning the bar area ... obviously :-p What's more, a new parking lot is about to be finished, the hotel is being completely renovated and the casino itself will also undergo a bunch of transformations over the coming months. This sounds all good but it greatly reduces the capacity of this casino where I use to spend loads of time as the in-house photographer for Poker festivals with Poker tournament fields of hundreds of players.
Today, the transformation works combined with some Covid restrictions seriously limit the capacity of the place, at least temporarily. Yet, since this summer, Poker festivals are back and I am heading to Namur for the upcoming Big Circus Open weekend.
I'll be in Namur from 2nd to 6th September if anyone cares to share a moment around drinks.
For those who enjoy photos, I have uploaded my latest Madrid shots to my archive. Have a look in the gallery below!
