Portugal photo love, the WSOP Circuit Estoril days from the outside - El Senhor Nigro foi-se embora.

Well, that escalated quickly! A few weeks ago, I made my first ever visit to Portugal in order to check the Casino Estoril to prepare my stay at the WSOPc stop as a festival ambassador. Why no Poker photos this time? The reason is a Portuguese law restraining the promotion of gambling that prohibits the use of cameras and smartphones in casinos. A photo corner can be set up to shoot portraits but people can never be shot at the tables. Even my furtive Poker room shots are illegal technically speaking and the security guards don’t mess around if they see you shooting pictures in the casino premisses. So, I sticked to the outside … the amazing outside, actually!
- Lisbon & Cascais in April
- Sintra in April
Portugal was the very last country in Europe that I came to visit (except Iceland) in 35 years, the last nation out of a list of more than 30 and it seems I have been keeping the best for the end just like I enjoy to do with my food :)
Why escalated? The reason is simple. After a total of 15 days spent in the Lisbon area, I am considering establishing a base in Portugal to spend some of my free time there. Yes, I liked it a lot :p
Not sure why I am considering this option? Checking the picture galleries below will help you understand …

Unfortunately, I could not stay until the end of the WSOPc Estoril as I am travelling to Belgium today to honour a promise I made to Poker Belgique to join for the weekend of their Belgique-France event (5th-7th May). So here I am under way to the Namur Casino for the weekend before spending a few days in Luxembourg to see my brothers until Wednesday.
Dinner in Portugal on Thursday? Anyone? :D :p
