That is the precise amount of the bad beat jackpot I missed last night at Bally's WSOP Poker room :/
After busting from a small $70-event, I sit down at a NLHE cash table where I lose an epic pot of $300 with quad 8s to quad 10s. I flop a full house on 8TT and I complete my quads on the turn while my opponent has flopped quads holding TT. 'I guess this is bad luck', I say to my opponent while handing over my chips to the dealer and the dealer replies: 'No! What really is bad luck, is that you hit quad 8s and not 9s.' A local regular than explains to me that if I would have had quad 9s instead of 8s, the table would have shared a bad beat jackpot of... $289.022,12... O-M-G !! So close to life changing money ! The first pictures of my #LIBintheUS-stay in Atlantic City are online HERE. Tonight, I will try my best to hit quad 9s... I promise ! Or maybe I'll just go to a party on the beach far away from the 15°C air conditioning and the tilting jackpots that never go your way in the casinos :)
