Namur is my last stop in Europe before concluding 2023 in Las Vegas from December to January. In the meanwhile, I am shooting every day in Namur for the Circus Resort and PokerFirma.com. An archive is online with more than 300 shots for the first week and there is a lot more to come. 
After an intense year of successful poker festivals in the renovated poker room of Namur, the poker staff of the Circus Resort showed up with a huge event to crown the year 2023.

Historically, the Namur Winter Festival has always been one of the highlights of the poker year. It has been one of the first events of the room to feature a main event with more than 1k entries and it has reached more than 2.5k entries in 2023. The Winter Festival will be the first major poker gathering in Namur for 2024  The World Series of Poker Circuit will be back in Morocco in late January. Every year, the Admiral Casino in Seville kicks off the new year with the grand final event of the previous year. It's a great way to kick off the year with a bang. Conchi is one of the major poker promoters in Andalusia, collaborates with the other existing Spanish poker circuits, and her latest own project is called Queen Poker Series with a 100k guarantee put in place for January.
Since early 2023 after the completion of the renovations of the historic casino, I have resumed adding Namur to my personal poker circuit. Multiple posts have been added to the BLOG and the POKER TRIPS section over the last months and all is archived under the NAMUR tag.

Another trip to Las Vegas is coming up for all poker lovers with a big heart before the end of the year. The World Poker Tour is ending 2023 with a bang at the Wynn/Encore, one of the most elite casino complexes on the Strip. The event is part of a collaboration with the One Drop Foundation and will feature a 1-million-dollar buy-in event besides the 40-million-prize pool put in place for the 10k main event.

It's been roughly one year since Zusammenland took over the Mare*GO for civil sea rescue operations in the Mediterranean Sea and what a year it's been!
At this stage, we would like to thank everybody who got involved in one way or the other. Great things have been accomplished. Even greater things are yet to be taken care of and our old yellow sea lady needs constant care and upgrades to keep up with the tough missions we assign it to. The last deployment of the year is starting these days.

At Banco Casino Bratislava, many things have changed over 2023 with the intensified poker schedule and the completion of the brand-new non-smoking poker room but straights will probably still beat bluffs with the runner runner nut flush blocker next year, the river will keep bringing nasty surprises, and the old grumpy reg, who plays every day and who always complains, will still not do his poker homework and he will keep running bad also in the new year :-) What will also probably not change is the amount of poker action to come and yes ... Scandinavians should still be good drinking buddies in 2024 and Bratislava is likely keep its status of one of our favourite European cities in the poker landscape. The Namur casino has been given a serious facelift over the last two years and is now known as the Circus Casino Resort, one of Europe's relevant poker spots featuring a 4-star hotel with fitness and wellness offers on the shores of the Maas river. After a successful series of 2023 events, the crown event of the year is coming up: the CIRCUS POKER SERIES.

The Spanish Poker Festival (SPF) is a touring poker project with multiple stops all over Spain including occasional stops in Portugal. On top of these events in the south of Europe, the promoters also travel abroad regularly to offer big international events to their community of players. Until recently, these international poker festivals were held at King's Resort in the Czech Republic but this year, the story has changed. The new destination for the winter gathering of this major Spanish poker promoter will be Banco Casino in Bratislava for the first time.
