Duration / Period: JUN 1st - DEC 31st 2013 Type: online Category: tourney bankroll
During spring 2013, I set myself the goal to build up a bankroll of 5000€ playing 500 online tournaments and starting from an initial roll of 300€. I ended up leaving more or less spontanously for 5 weeks on a Europe road trip in my mobile home with my girlfriend, so I did not play quite as much as I should have during August. We played a little bit of live poker here and there (RRRRozvadov !!! :D) but nothing too serious as we both had agreed on the fact that we would not make this a degen vacation :p When I came back to Brussels in early September, a pyro thought it would be a good idea to set the camper on fire for whatever reason leaving me depressed and disgusted for weeks. With my main live Poker tool gone and being in a really bad mental condition, I struggled to get back to the challenge in autumn as seriously as I had planned to. I had to take care of a ton of stupid things like legal matters and Police stupidity/unefficiency and I had to try to find solutions for my future Poker and work projects (I also used the mobile home to work) as I had no fire insurance on the 1986 mobile home. My lovely girlfriend helped me to raise some money amongst friends in order to face this ridiculously difficult situation but we are still far from buying a new one :/ I would never the less like to thank her for her support! All in all, not the best conditions to achieve my online Poker goal. The logical consequence was that I missed it but I managed to build my bankroll up from 300€ to 1468,97€ in 268 tournaments. The total invest was 2746€ for a 1168,97€ profit. Not a huge achievement but far from bad in my opinion... You can view the graph from my spreadsheet in the gallery below. May 2014 be a good year for us all! Thanks for reading this. Damian
