The 9th Tangier Poker Festival is already closing in. Once again, the Mövenpick Casino & Hotel will be hosting the most popular Poker festival in town from March 2nd to 6th with the Nations Cup taking place at the very beginning of the festival just before the Main Event. Big names like Guillaume Darcourt, Marcel Luske and the November-Niner Pierre Neuville will lead their respective national selection through this nations' challenge. A total of six teams will take part to this international invitational competition featuring a cast of six players each. The competition is articulated around two SNG phases and will oppose players from the national teams all selected by their respective captains. France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Spain and, of course, Morocco - these are the countries that will be represented this year on March 2nd at the very beginning of the Poker gathering in Tangier. The game will be NL Hold'Em and the Nations Cup will start with six 6-max SNGs (5000 chips / 20 min) and a pretty straight forward point system:
▪ winner : 6 points ▪ 2nd : 5 points ▪ 3rd : 4 points ▪ 4th : 3 points ▪ 5th : 2 points ▪ 6th : 1 points The second round will then be fought over one single SNG in which the team players will be playing one level before passing on the chips and the seat to one of their colleagues for the next level. Every three levels, the teams will have a time out of two minutes in order to adjust their collective strategy if needed. ▪ winner : 12 points ▪ 2nd : 10 points ▪ 3rd : 8 points ▪ 4th : 6 points ▪ 5th : 4 points ▪ 6th : 2 points Should there be drawing teams at the end of the seven SNGs of the two first rounds, the decision will be taken in heads-up confrontations (three matches per confrontation). All the members of the winning team will win their seat for all the festival Main Events taking place at the Casino de Tanger during 2016.
