> THE-ROUNDERdotnet > Calendar & updates on Facebook More photos on Instagram, Flickr & LIB --- The WSOPc Estoril officially starts today with a last set of satellites running throughout the weekend before the ring event action begins on May 2nd !! Yesterday, I have a spent a marvelous day of doing nothing but enjoying Portugal :) You will find a set of pictures of my day of nothing in THIS LINK. :) The complete schedule of the festival is available below and you will find other posts referring to this event with pictures and info in the ON THE ROAD section or in the BLOG. After spending some time in Estoril, I headed back to Cabo de Roca, the cape that is the westernmost point on Continental Europe. From the top of the cliffs, the view is just breathtaking. Last time, I shot the place from Praia do Guincho (see photos HERE) and you will also find pictures of the Sintra area HERE. From there, one easily realises why Portugal is one of the world's top wave surfing spots! In 2011, Garrett McNamara put Portugal in the records catching what was the biggest wave ever surfed (on planet Earth and by a human) back then ... A water formation of almost 80ft (+/-24m) recorded at Praia do Norte near Nazaré in Central Portugal ... a wave do caralho :D Let's hope I will not have to play that big of a draw to make it in the money of the WSOPc Estoril tournaments I am intending to play ... All yesterday's photos on Flickr on in the slideshow below.
