It's that time of the year again. Poker summer is coming to an end... at least my Las Vegas part of it. There will be more poker for me throughout the rest of summer but it will be on the European side. Belgium to start with, a few days after flying from Las Vegas to Amseterdam and Malta later in early September. More trips might be added to the list but have repeatedly told me that one has to sleep and take care of oneself and see loved ones sometimes... so I will also try that a bit during August. Might be worth it... :-)
Time to fly to Europe soon for a series of exciting poker festivals across the continent. Details are being updated in the POKER TRIPS section over these weeks and it's always possible to join the WHATSAPP community for weekly poker travel inspiration.
At the end of this U.S. trip, more than 2.000 photo impressions will have been added to my archive. Most of them are being published for PokerFirma.com. All of them are available for viewing in the Flickr archive below. Prepare a tea, sit back and enjoy the views. The capital of Slovakia will be the host of a series of international poker events over the months of July and August. I might attend one of them during later stages of this summer. As usual, all details are available on our POKERTURNIERE.LIVE portal for fellow traveling poker players.
The last minute summer poker rentals have more or less been taken care of at this stage and we are navigating full steam ahead towards the end of another extended stay in Las Vegas. What started as a slow year on the Nevada real estate market, turned into a pretty busy spring and summer with properties coming back on the market and buyers being out for shopping again. Many new rental options are also available for mid-term and long-term stays?
Tired of the ridiculously overpriced Strip life? Planning a long grind in Las Vegas over the coming months? Or maybe, you are even thinking about investing in Sin City... Soon, the WPT will kick off the Alpha8 Trifecta series at the Wynn Las Vegas Poker Room. Three glamorous two-day events are coming up for a buy-in of 25k USD each.
The dates are set to June 25-26, July 3-4 and July 10-11. I am fortunate enough to be one of the lucky photo people running around with an official WPT Media Pass this summer in Las Vegas and I will be delivering photos of the Wynn for PokerFirma.com. The South Point poker room in Las Vegas is offering four daily tournaments per day over the summer and there will be a tournament of champions featuring all winners of these dailies.
Check out the South Point website for details. The Orleans Summer Open schedule is online. The detailed schedule is online on PokerFirma.com.
The Wynn Summer Classic will feature a bunch of mixed games this summer between May 22nd and July 18th. Stay tuned with full schedule on the the official page for details.
Below are the non-NLH events of this summer.
The Venetian recently got a lot of attention after announcing the transformation of its poker room in order to make it the biggest room for poker in all of Vegas. Plans to complete the transformations are set for summer 2024 but there is not going to be much idle waiting in the meanwhile...
Since the WSOP 2024 schedule was released, Vegas plans are being made all across the global poker community.
What are your Las Vegas accommodation options?
It is becoming a tradition. Since 2016, I have been traveling to Las Vegas for a month at least once a year almost every year. Over the last years, the pace has significantly increased though and I am now spending something like 4 to 5 months a year in Nevada. One could say that I like it there... :-)
The WSOP dates are out, the bankroll is not looking too bad, and spring is slowly coming up. Surely, it's time to start taking care of finding a poker home in Las Vegas for the summer. Many will opt for comped rooms by playing a bunch and grinding rakeback points and offers at Caesars or MGM properties with a player loyalty card. There is also always the option of a less fancy room somewhere off-Strip for those who want to keep their travel budget in check.
For those who are more into comfort and convenience during a longer stay, the house renting option is always a great solution. BATTLE BORN REALTY is a resourceful high-quality service brokerage able to provide many solutions for your Las Vegas real estate rental or purchase needs. |
