After my stop in Namur, I made a short stop in Luxembourg before moving on to Estoril and Vilamoura in Portugal for the Solverde Poker Season Etapa #3 covered by PokerPT.
Some of the photos of this trip will be published in a PokerFirma.com Facebook album and all of them will be archived in the photo section of this site. Following this, I will be in Bratislava for 10-15 days. More POKER TRIPS here.

After my Namur visit in Belgium and a short stop in Luxembourg, I'm off to some Portugal Poker and photo grind with Alexandre Brutally Honest Rotenberg. Drones, cameras, stacks of cash for the Estoril and Vilamoura games... We are all set for a few days of cash games in Estoril followed by the Solverde Poker Series Main Event in Vilamoura!
From the very south of Portugal, I will then beam myself to Central Europe for a photo mission during the Vamos Poker Tour stop in the Slovak capital.
Sure, there are all the great guided tours of Lisbon, the epic bar crawls the Portuguese capital has to offer, culinary explorations reminiscent of the country's rich colonial past, foodie tours by Segway, hop-on-hop-off city tours by boat or bus ... The Lisbon Bay is full of beautiful surprises, the food and life in general are good, while it all unfolds with 10 to 11 months of sunshine a year.
There is a new article of mine online on PokerFirma with loads of cool archive pics and an English text version is available below on this page.
We're in the process of preparing quite a bit of new Poker content with PokerFirma ... but we're not intending to talk too much about the game itself :-) Because there's a life beside Poker. We swear! We've seen it!! :-p
PokerFirma have ordered a series of Portugal photos of mine and I have compiled this short article about the state of things when it comes to playing live Poker in one of my favourite places in Europe.
An English version of my text is available below and you can visit the original article in German to view all the awesome photo selection HERE. One of the very nice things about Portugal, is that, despite its modern infrastructure and great international connections, it does not take more than a 60-minute drive to disappear into the wild.
Watching waves and sunsets while eating local pastries. Easy life! Guess where I will be spending some time from next Tuesday ... ;-)
Seven months into 2021 and some Portuguese have been confined or living with Covid restrictions for almost 5 of them until now. Having my base in Cascais since last September, I am one of them. The latest lockdowns were enforced in January and it took authorities until May 1st to reopen Casino Estoril. The action was great in May but I had to leave Portugal for 2-3 weeks in early June for film shootings abroad. Unfortunately, while I was away, Covid numbers started rising rapidly again and, in a total despair move, the Portuguese decided to confine large parts of the Lisbon area again. The casino has been closed since early June again with no sign of any reopening to come.
Trusted sources and contacts of mine amongst the casino management staff are confident they will be able to open again during August but there is no sign for that coming from authorities and they have no idea about the playing conditions they will be able to offer to players. My POKER TRIPS section got an update!
A new #spfpoker flyer was uploaded with the new date for SPF SUMMER at King's and you'll find info for the March festivals I am planning to attend in Spain. For the rest, there should be some surfing and cash game action going on in Portugal and maybe some more cash games in Brussels later during the month. Greetings from Portugal <3
Sure, I came to play cash games at Casino Estoril but something is distracting me ... You'll find out what in my Flickr photo archive ;) >> my Instagram shots >> Random Estoril shots >> Beaver Moon >> Nazaré I am staying here until late November before a quick hop to Belgium to play the PB Masters Main Event in Spa. My plans for later this year are still blurry but it looks like I will be heading East. Slovakia and Czech Rupublic for the first half of December, Luxembourg at some point soon ... Rozvadov maybe again after Christmas or maybe some more Portugal. What about you?
Not a lot of action at the Poker lately for me. I have hardly played since the days before Christmas. Just a bit of online mtting and some live cash games and, so far, I am up this year :D
I'm back in Spa at the PROS for a bit this month and might hop around here for a while between in the BeNeLux area. Still have to make up my mind about SPF Rozvadov and the Dublin Poker Festival for later this month and February.
Every few weeks, the Casino Estoril Poker department comes up with a special Poker event besides the regular weekly tournaments but you might strike gold the December if you are considering Estoril as one of your Poker stops. The Golden Poker Series are stopping in Portugal and here are all the details!
All Casino Estoril events are listed in the online agenda and you stay up to date via the Casino Estoril Poker Facebook Page.
It's time to #punishthespanish again!! :D
I left Spa this morning after some photo reporting over the Roller Coaster Festival weekend days and I stayed one extra day to attend the Poker Room of Spa Monday Cash Game Night yesterday. I was able to book a positive session but my highlight of the weekend was my second place finish in the Chill Out event while I was still posting updates and shooting pictures of the final stages of the Main Event final table. Poker an easy game :) The CNP Estoril is come to an end last night with the last three win in the MAIN EVENT, the LIGA DO POQUER NACIONAL and the WIN THE BUTTON. All recaps are online on the Casino Estoril Poker Facebook page where I have published daily notes and photo albums.
I only arrived on Thursday but PokerPT was on the spot for the whole week providing a proper and extensive coverage including more photos and video content. Big up to Pedro for winning the Main Event!! He is clearly one of the ones on the good side of the Poker Force :) I met him in the 45°C heat of a caliente summer festival in Madrid during the summer of 2017. Since then, it's always a pleasure to cross his path. He bested a field of 149 entries with more than €14.5k on top! I have uploaded a photo archive of my stay at Casino Estoril last week for those who care. It can be found on my Flickr account.
The Poker Belgique Monster 2018 is over with a Main Event that gathered 835 entries and unstoppable champion, Sébastien Hetzel, who is just having an incredible end of 2018 at Poker Belgique since a few weeks.
My photo archive (+200 photos) is available on my Flickr account and you can view Jonathan Koszulap's coverage under www.pokerbelgique.be.
After a pleasant week in the Netherlands hopping from Holland Casino to Holland Casino in Breda, Amsterdam and Zandvoort where I enjoyed an almost 10-km on the autumn beaches [photos on my Flickr] on Wednesday, I made my way to Namur in Belgium for the PokerBelgique Monster Tournament finals over the weekend.
Last minute changes for this week! Although I decided to stop working as a #pokernamur reporter after the Namur MegaStack in September, I still intended to come over for the Oktoberfest this week to play cash games and shoot some photography for the Namur Poker room but the board took the bizarre last minute decision not to let me shoot at the casino anymore at all since I am not reporting officially for them.
As a result, I decided to enjoy my time on the BeNeLux roads this weekend starting with the Friday event at the Poker Room of Spa before moving on to the Breda Small Ball Series for the weekend. Off to Amsterdam from Sunday night or Monday morning after that before the Monster Tournament finals for PokerBelgique in Namur before a few days of family time in Luxembourg and I will be back in Belgium later in November as well for the #PROS Roller Coaster Festival after a short hop to Portugal for the CNP Estoril.
Beside the daily cash games 1/2 NLHE > 5/10 PLO and the weekly MTTs, Casino Estoril regularly teams up with external partners like the Spanish Poker Festival in September and there are two more major Poker rendez-vous to come for this winter!
The CNP Estoril 6>11 Nov & the GPS Estoril 3>9 Dec. â#estorilpoker info can be found on their online agenda or on their Poker Facebook page.
> THE-ROUNDERdotnet on Facebook > Damian LIB on Instagram / Twitter After a busy August, I somehow hoped I'd have an easier September. Naaa ...
The Troia Poker Festival was amazing! 0 tournaments played, daily cash game and beach sessions, top hotel and the peninsula is just amazing. I have posted a bunch of pictures on my Instagram and you will find more photos of the Arrabida coast on my Flickr.

I am back to what is closest to what I can call a home these days: Estoril, Portugal. The plan was to go all-in on surf sessions and hiking/photo trips on the Atlantic coast before I wrecked my ankle on my first day out after 24 days of straight Poker action in Belgium for the WaSOP in Namur and the EPS Spa.
As a consequence, I am out of the surfing and hiking business until October or so and you will find part of my revenge plan below with the Big Estoril this weekend and the Spanish Poker Festival that will be in town in September.
It's chill time! Greetings from Portugal where I'm off for two weeks enjoying the heat, playing cards and meeting friends. My brother is coming over with a buddy later this month to spice it all up with some Golf and Surf sessions. Life is beautiful. Repeat three times every morning ;)
Below, you will find a bunch of info about what is going on these weeks at Casino Estoril Poker room followed by a detailed preview of my almost 100% Belgian August 2018: WaSOP Namur, European Poker Series Spa & Holiday Festival Namur with a few days of Portugal in between if I can make it. My Flickr photo archive is up to date with my latest albums of the Namur World Cup Festival and of the Spanish Poker Festival at King's Casino Rozvadov last week. Enjoy!
While my Instagram for sure begins to have a smell of grilled sardines and vegetables, it's time to leave Portugal for a bit of back and forward between Luxembourg, Namur, Cascais, Riga, Rozvadov and Spa over the next weeks.
#allineverywhere In one month, the Golden Poker Series family will stop in Portugal again. After the European Poker Series Estoril a few weeks ago, the Spanish promoter is setting up a stop for its Silver Poker Series (SPS) on the Portuguese Atlantic coast.
The festival will take place from 7th to 11th June with information to be found on: - the SPS Facebook page & website - the Casino Estoril Poker Facebook page - the Casino Estoril online calendar Spending most of April in Portugal where I shot photos during the EPS Estoril while I was not playing myself. Find all my photos on the Casino Estoril Poker Facebook page. The official coverage can be found on Gordilho e Gaio Live Reports and on Poker Red. As always, I uploaded albums on my Flickr as well for a better vieweing experience in the links below with almost 300 souvenir photos. [ 10/04

Find out more about the first stop of this tour powered by Golden Poker Series in a recent article in this blog. See you on the Atlantic coast :D Two months have already flown by in this new year and I am already confused about how many different places I have been too :)
