February 2023 looks pretty packed with potentially non-stop Poker and travel action between the 6th to the 26th. Romania, UK & Ireland are solid options in my agenda with:
- the Vamos Poker Tour in Bucharest - the Festival in Nottingham - the Dublin POKER FESTIVAL

The Dublin Poker Festival has announced its 2023 dates! Full schedule updates will follow soon...
One of my potential February plans, was to travel to Dublin. Lord Covid did not agree.
I left the Iberian peninsula last night and I am getting ready for month number 2!
February will kick off with the SPF King's Winter Edition and I am planning to make my way to Prague a bit before. Maybe to enjoy myself in one of my favourite cities in Europe and maybe to go play my favourite card game in Rozvadov ... As a matter of fact, the Big Wrap will soon be back just before the Spanish Poker Festival. For the rest of the month, it looks like I'll be cruising around again quite a bit besides the Czech Republic with trips to Dublin (IE) and maybe to Scheveningen (NL). I have no accommodation options to share for Scheveningen for now but King's can offer you good deals for your rooms during the Big Wrap. For the #spfpoker stop at King's, we have a few 5* packages left including airport shuttles from 3rd to 10th February. Also, don't hesitate to request offers for single nights. Dublin is always a great place to be to play cards and I have hotel deals to share with you. Scroll down for visuals and out more in the POKER TRIPS section. For their 7th edition, D4 Events are hosting the DUBLIN POKER FESTIVAL again at The Bonnington Hotel Conference Center featuring the 13th European DeepStack, the 7th Amateur Championship Of Poker and the popular Irish Seniors' event. Save the dates from 13th to 23rd February 2020! Structures have been improved and the Big Blind Ante is being introduced for all tournaments this year. Double and twin hotel rooms are available on site for €99 par night if you stay for a minimum of 3 nights.
For booking, you can get in touch through the CONTACT & INFO section! The D4 Events Dublin Poker Festival (DPF) has begun last weekend and will be going on until the end of this week with the EDSPC Main Event coming up but I gotta skip this one unfortunately. Some business is keeping stuck in Luxembourg for a few days, so I will probably be back in Spa for the weekend where Leandro Gaone has put together a schedule of 4 1-day tournaments from Thursday to Sunday with a total of more than €20.000 GTD!!
Not sure I am going to play the small ones but, for sure, I am going to be more than happy to sit the Friday PLO cash game tables :) Also, watch out for a new tournament on Saturday with a bigger buy-in and a deeper structure and for a €10.000 guarantee in the Sunday special event of this week. All P.R.O.S. Poker info is available under pokerroomofspa.com. See you in Belgium again soon! I have been skipping the 2018 edition because somehow I got stuck in Portugal so I organised things differently this year. I'll travel to Portugal AFTER the Dublin Poker Festival :)
I will miss the first weekend featuring the smaller ACOP Event taking place while I will be attending the Benelux Festival at the Poker Room Of Spa after a long January stay in Rozvadov and before moving on to Ireland for the second part of the DPF 2019.
Not a lot of action at the Poker lately for me. I have hardly played since the days before Christmas. Just a bit of online mtting and some live cash games and, so far, I am up this year :D
I'm back in Spa at the PROS for a bit this month and might hop around here for a while between in the BeNeLux area. Still have to make up my mind about SPF Rozvadov and the Dublin Poker Festival for later this month and February. > THE-ROUNDERdotnet on Facebook > Damian LIB on Instagram / Twitter After a busy August, I somehow hoped I'd have an easier September. Naaa ...
The Troia Poker Festival was amazing! 0 tournaments played, daily cash game and beach sessions, top hotel and the peninsula is just amazing. I have posted a bunch of pictures on my Instagram and you will find more photos of the Arrabida coast on my Flickr.

The WPO will be back this fall with a ton action at and around the tables at Dublin's City West Hotel from 17th to 23rd September 2018 featuring a Main Event with 3 Day 1s. As the Winamax website is not accessible from everywhere, I have published the complete schedule as print screens below.
Amsterdam, September 2017 Leaving Luxembourg soon after a short stop following a pretty successful trip to Rozvadov for the German Poker Tour between Christmas and New Year's Eve.
I'll make a short stop in Namur for some video works during one day followed by some online grinding/coaching/enjoyinglifing and maybe a bunch of live PLO sessions in Amsterdam. From there, I'll be off to Minsk on 11th January until the 15th when I will be flying to Prague to make up my mind if I will make my way to the Dublin Poker Festival or not. I have recently also updated my Google Poker Agenda with a lot of new potential dates in France and Spain. Some Portugal updates are also to come as well as a bunch of event announcements in Namur ...
See you at the #wpodublin !! Since Edwin Hubble, we know the Universe is expanding ... and it is doing so more and more rapidly on top of that ! Maybe that's the reason why Namur turns out to be almost 5.000km from Rozvadov ... :) Next week, after the end of the Holiday Festival in Namur, I will be off to Amsterdam to play some Winamax Series online events with river ninja buddy, katana coach & homemade bread guru, Mr. Sneeze :) From there, the mission will be to get to Dublin for the WPO Event from September 19th to 24th. There, I will be hitting the nightly cash tables after the end of the TV table transmissions that I will be taking care of with the might Winamax and D4 Events crews. But the road to Dublin is long ... especially when you decide to take your brother on a Ferrari 488 (670hp) ride on a race track in the woods of the French Vosges like we did last year in May. Gotta train for when I will have won multiple Poker world champion and Winamax Series titles ... :D From that point, there will be a few options before Dublin. Back to Amsterdam or visit other grinder & spewer buddies in France to continue firing buy-ins at the Winamax Series.
After my Irish week of the month, I will briefly be back in Namur for the PokerStars MegaStack (27 sept > 1 oct) on my way the the WSOP in Rozvadov. > THE-ROUNDERdotnet Google calendar.
> THE-ROUNDERdotnet on Facebook. --- From 10th to 19th of February, D4 Events will be back on track after their Brussels stop in December 2016 with a Main Event taken down by the Belgian, Frank De Busscher. > THE-ROUNDERdotnet on Facebook. --- The Dublin Poker Festival will be back in February with a great schedule of MTTs from February 10th to 19th but you won't have to wait until then to get some ACOP and EDSPC feel. A Brussels stop has been scheduled this year from December 9th to 18th at the Grand Casino Viage for ten days of Poker action in the heart of Europe. Everything you need to know is online here. I will be making a hop to Ireland in February. The Amateur Championship of Poker (ACOP) and the European Deepstack Poker Championship (EDSPC) are merging again this year offering a schedule of 34 events over 10 days at the Regency Hotel ! [June 21st, 2015 update] The schedule is online!! View it here:
Beside the epic Winamax Poker Open taking place in late September at the Regency Hotel, Dublin will be the scene of another major Poker event before this fall. The DUBLIN POKER INVASION is the result of the joint efforts of the MEGA POKER SERIES and REDBET LIVE and will take place from 1st to 14th of September 2015.
Besides providing live streaming services for poker clients like GUKPT or Winamax, D4 Events are for sure one of Europe’s leading independent poker tournament promoters still around. Over the years, they have managed to consolidate an ongoing offer of great European Poker rendez-vous. The European Short-handed Poker Championship is simply Europe’s largest 6 Max poker festival and has grown in numbers every year since it’s inception in 2009 reaching +/- 1k fields in the 2013 and 2014 Winamax sponsored events with a buy-in of €550. The European Deepstack Poker Championships has been on for eight years now and is still gathering players from all over the continent every year in February. D4 Events also recently launched the Amateur Championships Of Poker, a series of tournaments taking place shortly before the EDSPC. This year, D4 Events have decided to merge the ACOP and the EDSPC into one great Poker festival called the DUBLIN POKER FESTIVAL.
The new festival with kick off on January 30th and will last until February 8th at the Regency Hotel perfectly situated between the airport and the Dublin city center. This new major European Poker gathering incorporates the two previously mentioned very well known events to give birth to a full 10 days of 24h table action. [From the D4 Events website] 'The European Deepstack Poker Championships is now entering it’s 8th season, this event broke the mould from the outset by giving players a 50.000 starting stack and together with a dream structure this quickly became a 'must play' event, it has and continues to attract players from around the world. Season 7 saw the introduction of the 100.000 starting stack, this was very well received by all participants and with such positive feedback we will continue into season 8 with the 100.000 starting stack. ACOP – Amateur Championships Of Poker enters it’s 3rd season, this event is really going from strength to strength, a €200 buy-in gives you a 25.000 starting stack and 40 minute levels to test and hone your poker skills, this event is managed to a very high standard that you would normally only find at the larger buy-in events, professional dealers and floor staff, live streaming, live entertainment , secure environment and most of all 'fun' both on and off the tables. This event is a must for any player wishing to experience big time poker for a modest buy-in.' The Dublin Poker Festival has something for everyone with a wide buy-in range and different Poker games on the menu. Have a look at the schedule for full details! I will be doing a special THE-ROUNDERdotnet coverage mainly featuring buddies from Belgium and Luxembourg. If you will be in Dublin for this great festival and if you want be featured in my coverage, please make yourself known as soon as possible so I can add you to my listing. I can make room and buy-in reservations for you without fees or commissions if you want. Just let me know. The double room rate at The Regency Hotel is €79 per night on a room only basis, this does include Wi-Fi and use of the hotel leisure centre though. Follow D4 Events on Facebook for updates and satellite information! Put a piece of your bankroll aside for this exceptional 6-handed Poker festival in Dublin! The WINAMAX POKER OPEN 2014 will be held at the Regency Hotel from 24th to 28th of September.
This European Poker institution organized by two of the most dynamic European Poker promoters, Winamax and D4 Events, gathers 1000 players from everywhere on a yearly basis and will be keeping its promises again this year with a 550€ Main Event and A LOT MORE. The Regency Hotel rooms are sold out by now but the promoters will happy to help you find a suitable accommodation for you and your travel mates. Get in touch HERE. In the 2013 edition of the Winamax Poker Open, the records were smashed once again with 1,086 registrations for the Main Event, confirming once again its status as an iconic 6-max tournament. But in Dublin, we’re not only there for poker. In addition to the numerous side events and 24 hour cash games, there’s also tons of fun to be had; including games of all kinds (mini-golf, pool, darts and even rodeo) and a huge quiz as well as parties at all hours. Everything is there to give you four truly memorable days. In the end Jerome Guermeur emerged victorious, the Frenchman who had made the short flight over from France with some friends, left the Emerald Isle with €75,000! Will this year be your turn? (from the Winamax website) D4 Events are back with the deepest deepstack of deep Dublin deepstack history of deepstack tourneys. Did anybody say 'deep'? The second edition of the ACOP is closing in as an appetizer for the EDSPC at Dublin's Regency Hotel on February 15th & 16th. Enjoy this rather cheap event that has everything to offer a 1k buy-in event has. Judge by yourself HERE. Less than 2 weeks to go until we're going to check-raise all in out of position all these Irish river acrobats and all those French wannawinamax and wannabe guiness drinkers :) More than 600 players are awaited for the main event and there'll be cash games running around the clock. Loo-king-for-ward ! A 10-player strong delegation from Luxembourg, Rotterdam and Brussels will be travelling with THE-ROUNDERdotnet to this nice event and we'll keep you updated about our masterstrokes; be it at the poker tables, at the breakfast buffet, at the spa or at the local bar. Watch out for the pictures! Have a look at the schedule >> here << . |
