When I visited Bogota, I spotted a colourful neighbourhood from my high-up hotel balcony while shooting the sunrise over the Andes. Turns out the zone has an interesting story. The streets are narrow and mostly cobbled and the architecture seems pretty dull from afar. I was told it could be a little risky to wander there alone especially with cameras since the area is rather poor and rough so I skipped it but after doing some reading about it, I'm already regretting this decision :-) I'll make sure I'll find a local who would know his ways well enough to take me with him for a tour when I'll return to Bogota.
The reason why it's so colourful today is a large-scale street art project lead by a graffiti collective called INK CREW that, together with locals, started repainting hundreds of houses of Barrio Los Puentes a few years ago in order to unite the local community around a common rehabilitation project in their home streets and to make the area simply look nicer as a start.

All photos of my Banco Masters week can be found in the album below. Expect plenty of Poker shots and impressions of Bratislava.
This is information I got from a partner in case someone is off to Romania soon. It's highly unlikely that I'll attend myself but I can help fellow players out with closing a deal if needed.
All details can be found below and you can stay tuned via the POKER TRIPS section for more #allineverywhere. Another major Poker event is coming up under my ROMANIA tag in February 2023. The Vamos Poker Tour will be off to Bucharest for its second leg. The Vamos Poker Tour is one of the latest additions to the jungle of European Poker circuits after a starting event in Bratislava during September 2022. Now, 2023 is coming up fast and the promoters have been busy since this autumn. The result is the next VPT leg announced in Bucharest, Romania in February.
If I had started this 10 years ago, this map would possibly be the TripAdvisor of the degens out there by now :-)
That said, better late than never: enjoy the #allineverywhere #pokertrips map The question arises naturally: 'Why a Polish Poker Championship in Slovakia?' I asked myself the question too, sneaked around a little bit, did some reading and I'm preparing an article about Poker and gambling regulations in Poland as an explanation to why the Polish Championship specifically is one of the historical big partners of Banco Casino in Bratislava and Kosice.
The Poles will be back in Bratislava from 28th November to 5th December for loads of Poker action! More Poker in Slovakia is coming up for me over the coming weeks since I've been invited to join the Banco Casino crew for The Hendon Mob Championship Grand Final in late November.
The biggest Poker room of Spain with its capacity of about 70 tables will be back in the spot light soon with the Circuito Nacional de Poker returning for its yearly Grand Final festival. This year, the occasion is super special since the festival is also the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the CNP project and of the 20th anniversary of the creation of one Poker’s biggest brands around: 888poker.
Here I am in Bratislava after an epic trip across Europe made of non-high-speed trains between Luxembourg and Belgium before hopping on a flight to Bratislava and finding myself on another non-high-speed train ride between Slovakia and Austria for a short visit in rainy Vienna :-p
It took me almost 6 months but I'm finally back in Bratislava! I'll stick around for the whole Banco Masters during late October and I'll also stay for the France/Benelux Masters coming up in early November.
Details in the POKER TRIPS section with a BEAT THE RAKE promo below to play the France/Benelux Masters Main Event RAKE-FREE. All my recent Bratislava posts under the SLOVAKIA tag in my blog.
Check, check - agenda check !
The next The Festival stop has been announced for February 2023 at Nottingham's Dusk till Dawn. Updates to come in the NOTTINGHAM tag of the blog.
I'm taking advantage of a stop in Luxembourg to get back in touch with the LUkraine association . A demo for peace in Ukraine was planned for this Saturday but had to be postponed to next week, the 29th October 2022. The meeting is set on the Clairefontaine square from 2pm. To be confirmed though since big fundraising actions are ongoing and the organisation is understaffed.
The Spanish Poker Festival tour is on its way to the last stops of the year and the BEAT THE RAKE promo goes on until the last series in Madrid.

In less than one month, we’ll be in Madrid for the CNP Season 10 Gran Final powered by 888poker. Many qualifiers are running on both .es and .com networks of the online Poker site and the event will be one of THE European Poker events of late 2022 since this Madrid festival will be celebrated as 888poker’s 20th anniversary featuring 16 live events and the crowning of the 2022 CNP national champion. Slovakia’s capital has been on my travel map numerous times already and it even looked like I was going to settle down a bit there for a while but the #allineverywhere force has been strong lately and I was not able to go back since late April 2022. Two months in Las Vegas, about two other months in Portugal and after a bunch of random trips to Luxembourg, Belgium, Spain or Colombia, I’m making a move to return to Bratislava soon!
The Circuito Nacional de Poker - CNP / Circuito Latino de Poker in Bogota is predominantly a tournament festival but of course, there are also cash games running.
My latest Bogota pics are online in the PHOTOS & COVERAGES section and I've posted some new impressions on PokerFirma.
Recently, I spent a weekend in Brussels with friends. We've pet their cats, had some beers, played cards and I've been looking up quite a bit. There's a photo album in the PHOTOS & COVERAGES section if you care.
I've posted an article with first impressions of Bogota and about the upcoming CNP Gran Final in Madrid. Head to PokerFirma.
You can read an English version of the post below!
Everybody following this blog a little bit knows how often I get high and how much I like to document it :-) I used to spend quite some time piloting gliders in the past and since last year, I've been a drone pilot. I sure enjoy the new style of aerial views 'm getting but nothing compares to how I feel about the world seen from tens of thousands of feet in the air!
I spent the weekend in Brussels with old loved ones ... here on Earth but also in the sky :-)
From there, I flew to Madrid and Bogota to make my way to the Circuito Latino de Poker launch in Bogota. More info under the BOGOTA tag of my blog and in the POKER TRIPS section. I remember this plane being described as the aircraft of the future during its developing phase when I was following it as a kid. Well, the future has arrived in 2009. It's big and it's beautiful.
Livestreams have often been criticised for opening the door to cheating. The recent J4 hand in the HCL stream brings the issue back into focus.
I've been doing some reading, wondering and writing about it for a recent PokerFirma.com article. Not for the sake of feeding the very mediocre 💩🤡 show that is going on but to illustrate how complex it is to implement this kind of technology securely without risking to harm the integrity of the game. Streamings have a high potential to take live Poker marketing to the next level but it also comes with a series of potential serious threats that could ruin the party by ultimately leading to players' and viewers' trust issues. Read the original article HERE in Djörmön. I've posted an English version below. The Moon has reached its first quarter on the 3rd October and it will have filled up by the end of this week on the 9th October. I'll try to shoot the 100% illuminated moon from Brussels or from Madrid while being on my way these days to the Circuito Latino de Poker launch in Bogota, Colombia.
