The Vamos Poker Tour is one of the latest additions to the jungle of European Poker circuits after a starting event in Bratislava during September 2022. Now, 2023 is coming up fast and the promoters have been busy since this autumn. The result is the next VPT leg announced in Bucharest, Romania in February. Like in Colombia, where I recently stopped, one of the peculiarities of Poker in Romania is that the tournaments are usually played in poker rooms, not in casinos, as they are completely legal in this country as long as they are officially licensed by the Romanian government. The Poker Room Bucharest is undoubtedly at the core of the Romanian capital's Poker scene and the largest in the country. It is also the official local partner of brands such as PokerStars (Road to PSPC recently) or 888Poker (with its weekly TV show produced in its facilities). Poker Room Bucharest has more than 20 poker tables to accommodate their big festivals and their daily cash tables that run non-stop on a regular basis. VPT Bucharest 2023 has no less than €150000 guaranteed in festival prize pools featuring four tournaments with moderate buy-ins. The Main Event will be a 300-Eur event coming with a 100k guarantee. 50k chips to start with on this ride across variance land with four day 1s in a 40-minute level structure except for the last turbo day 1 (20 min.). Registration will be open during the 12 levels played on each of the initial days. This tournament has an innovative Day 2 registration format called 'Power Buy-In'. It's a common thing in Romania. You can buy-in for day 2 ... sure ... for 1000 Eur (a bit more than 3x buy-ins) but you also get 150k chips (3x starting stack). Day 2 registration will be open for the first 4 levels (until the end of level 16). Blind levels will be 45 minutes long. The players who make it through on Saturday will meet in the Final Day on Sunday where they will battle it out for the big prizes... and the trophy! In addition to the Main Event, the two tournaments that stand out on the schedule are the Mystery Bounty and the High Roller. The Mystery Bounty tournament is the trendy format with a buy-in of €250, of which €100 will go towards bounties. The two-day event (Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th) has a total guaranteed prize pool of 20000 Eur. Registration will be available for the first 10 levels and Day 1 will end when 20% of registered players are left in play. Bounties will come into play from the start of Day 2. The 600 Eur, 25000 Eur guaranteed High Roller will also be a two-day tournament, running over the weekend after registration for the Main Event closes (Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th). It features a starting stack of 50000 chips and 40-minute levels over the two days of competition. Registration will be open for 10 levels of play on day 1 and the first two levels of play on the final day. VPT Bucharest will end with the 100 Eur Accumulator KO (25 Eur KO), a fun one-day event with a total guaranteed prize pool of 5000 Eur. The VPT Accumulator KO is a bounty format where each player who eliminates another player will win ALL the bounties that the eliminated player had to its name. Bounties will cease to be in play as soon as the tournament passes the bubble. The Vamos Poker Tour organisers teamed up with the Poker Room Bucharest to come up with a hotel package starting from 250 Eur per person including everything one needs to make the trip to and the stay in Bucharest as easy as possible. The VPT Bucharest packages include: - 5 nights at the 4* Union Plaza Hotel (Wednesday 8 - Monday 13 February). - FREE transfer (return) from Bucharest airport (Wednesday 8 - Monday 14 February) - breakfast at the spectacular sky bar in the Hotel - 1 meal per day per person at the casino (15:00 - 05:00) - FREE soft drinks in the casino - FREE full bar in the Casino for cash game players There's a limited promotion for cash game players who can basically join completely for FREE!
