A pitstop in Luxembourg is almost never about good weather and awesome light but that does not stop photographers from getting out there and trying to capture shots. My colleague, friend and fellow photography lover, Alex Rotenberg came to visit the tiny Grand-Duchy this week and he is leaving aerial photo impressions of his autumn stay behind.

The March 2024 POKER RADAR CHECK is online on PokerFirma.com with a preview of what is coming up over the next weeks. Portugal, Nevada, and Belgium are on the menu until April.
I'm taking advantage of a stop in Luxembourg to get back in touch with the LUkraine association . A demo for peace in Ukraine was planned for this Saturday but had to be postponed to next week, the 29th October 2022. The meeting is set on the Clairefontaine square from 2pm. To be confirmed though since big fundraising actions are ongoing and the organisation is understaffed.
The Moon has reached its first quarter on the 3rd October and it will have filled up by the end of this week on the 9th October. I'll try to shoot the 100% illuminated moon from Brussels or from Madrid while being on my way these days to the Circuito Latino de Poker launch in Bogota, Colombia.
The 2022 dream car caravan will soon be on its way across Europe again starting in London and traveling to the Monaco F1 Grand Prix with stops in seven cities within seven days and one of the stops will be the Rives de Clausen in the heart of Luxembourg with about 100 displayed cars that I will have the pleasure to shoot days before leaving to the WSOP in Las Vegas until August.
A spent most of my February days in Luxembourg after a few weeks in Madrid in the beginning of the year.
On the menu: - meeting loved one - boring office stuff - a decent amount of photography & Poker training/studying - researching to prepare my U.S. road trip - and a bunch of photo shooting sessions at Jakob's House and Schapp in the Rives de Clausen
Back in 2008, I was a lot into international music publishing or live event production - so much that I ended up opening my own nightclub called 'Verso' as the first location of the renovated historical Rives de Clausen in downtown Luxembourg. In order to administrate the club, I co-founded a company called 3D Events that I managed until I sold my shares roughly 2 years into the project. More than 10 years later, I made a comeback last autumn as part of their event management&marketing team and as head of photography.
I went back Jakob's House this week for another photo test run before the genuine gastro and location photography action on the spot from this upcoming December. Enjoy some impressions in this post!
All photos in my Flickr archive. About a million years ago, I was a club owner :-) I did not enjoy this life very much, so I decided to sell my shares after less than two years and turned my back to this business. Since this autumn though, I am partially back in the nightlife business, funnily enough collaborating with the same company I founded myself in the early 2000s. Check out Jakob's House & Schapp on the historical site of the Rives de Clausen in the heart of Luxembourg city.
I am stuck in Metz after the Beer Fest :) I guess I needed some rest after this crazy weekend of beer tasting, partying and shooting photos. Apart from randomly resting after a tough mission, there are actually good reasons for me to be stuck here :p
My Metz Beer Fest hosts are some of my all-time best buddies that I used to spend a lot of time with during my studies here so it's a pleasure to meet all those people again over these last days. What is more, I was on the go with Ady last night who had a screening and a Q&A for our film project, SAWAH. We have published photos and info in his blog today. You'll also find a link to all the photos in the photo section. Micro stop in Luxembourg between Slovakia and and Georgia. Yes, I know ... I should buy a GPS :p
After my short stay in Bratislava for the Slovak Series Of Poker Main Event, I made my way to Spa and Luxembourg for a few days before leaving to the Georgia Cash Game Tour. Belgium was for resting and preparing Georgia but Luxembourg was all about HEAVY action this time. I joined DJ DEE, DJ NOSI & DJ VDG for the Housen Open Air in Hosingen. More than 4200 people came together for this event and it felt like we had a drink with each and everyone of them ... Thanks everybody for showing up and partying with us until late/early and thanks to the Hosingen girls and boys for having us! There is a link to my pics in the PHOTO & COVERAGES section of this site, vamos! ![]() You might not have the heart and commitment to the game as a guy called Tony might say, but on this occasion you'll have the opportunity you have at least the heart.
