The Dutch tend to be decent poker players and the Amsterdam Master Classics specifically draw a breed of strong players pouring in from a bit all over the world.
So if you are looking for an easy game, skip this one! :-) If you are looking for great service and awesome dealers in a premium European casino, this is the place to be. 10-day time out in Luxembourg before moving on to The Netherlands for the upcoming Holland Casino Series on the coast of Den Haag.
No accommodation deals to share with you for that one but I'll happy to meet buddies for sunset drinks by the sea :) This one will be followed by Sevilla and Granada in Spain for the beginning of March. More info in the POKER TRIPS secton! I left the Iberian peninsula last night and I am getting ready for month number 2!
February will kick off with the SPF King's Winter Edition and I am planning to make my way to Prague a bit before. Maybe to enjoy myself in one of my favourite cities in Europe and maybe to go play my favourite card game in Rozvadov ... As a matter of fact, the Big Wrap will soon be back just before the Spanish Poker Festival. For the rest of the month, it looks like I'll be cruising around again quite a bit besides the Czech Republic with trips to Dublin (IE) and maybe to Scheveningen (NL). I have no accommodation options to share for Scheveningen for now but King's can offer you good deals for your rooms during the Big Wrap. For the #spfpoker stop at King's, we have a few 5* packages left including airport shuttles from 3rd to 10th February. Also, don't hesitate to request offers for single nights. Dublin is always a great place to be to play cards and I have hotel deals to share with you. Scroll down for visuals and out more in the POKER TRIPS section.
I guess there are many places a lot worse to be bust as the charming small town of Breda in the South of the Netherlands :) Last night, I played Day 1C of the local Small Ball Series Main Event and it took me 11 levels to finally make it over the starting stack mark with a volatile 20bb stack after beating A6 offsuite with a very powerfull QT suited in a steal attempt from the SB :p
A few hands after that, I was all in again and busted with one of the only real hand of my Poker night: Jacks UTG+1! ... that ran into Kings UTG+2 ... GG! I left the casino with a buddy from Luxembourg to have some drinks in the center while Mark Roovers was busy shipping the side event of the night. Nice one! Day off in Breda for now or maybe some more Poker tonight to enjoy one of my favourite casinos around but I am leaving town tomorrow for glorious Amsterdam! Last minute changes for this week! Although I decided to stop working as a #pokernamur reporter after the Namur MegaStack in September, I still intended to come over for the Oktoberfest this week to play cash games and shoot some photography for the Namur Poker room but the board took the bizarre last minute decision not to let me shoot at the casino anymore at all since I am not reporting officially for them.
As a result, I decided to enjoy my time on the BeNeLux roads this weekend starting with the Friday event at the Poker Room of Spa before moving on to the Breda Small Ball Series for the weekend. Off to Amsterdam from Sunday night or Monday morning after that before the Monster Tournament finals for PokerBelgique in Namur before a few days of family time in Luxembourg and I will be back in Belgium later in November as well for the #PROS Roller Coaster Festival after a short hop to Portugal for the CNP Estoril.
Sooo ... 5-6 weeks into the year 2018 and I have been around Europe already :p
The year started with a stay with friends and family in Luxembourg before moving on to Amsterdam for some online MTTs and to Minsk afterwards for the Belarus Cash Game Weekend. The return way brought me over Prague and Dresden for a few days off before ending up for 10 days straight in Namur for late January / early February during the Poker Belgique Big One and the Grand Casino de Namur Winter Festival. Amsterdam, September 2017 Leaving Luxembourg soon after a short stop following a pretty successful trip to Rozvadov for the German Poker Tour between Christmas and New Year's Eve.
I'll make a short stop in Namur for some video works during one day followed by some online grinding/coaching/enjoyinglifing and maybe a bunch of live PLO sessions in Amsterdam. From there, I'll be off to Minsk on 11th January until the 15th when I will be flying to Prague to make up my mind if I will make my way to the Dublin Poker Festival or not. I have recently also updated my Google Poker Agenda with a lot of new potential dates in France and Spain. Some Portugal updates are also to come as well as a bunch of event announcements in Namur ... #allineverywhere #allineveryday After the ongoing Holiday Festival in Namur, I will be back in Amsterdam the coming week to play some online Poker and visit a friend or maybe the other way around ...
The plan is to give a shot at the PokerStars World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) and to play the Winamax Series extensively. As it is not always easy to have access to the Winamax website depending on where you are (thank you, politics!), I published a small post a few days ago with the extended program of the almost 130 events for €11.000.000 in guaranteed prize pools. The next stops will then be Luxembourg and the French Vosges for a maximum 2 or 3 days before Dublin for the Winamax Poker Open where I will be taking care of the festival's TV tables as a director and graphic overlay operator. Back to Namur again after that and Rozvadov in Czech Republic just afterwards to stay on the move for the rest of September. Find most event details in my online agenda. Winter Fishing et autres excursions hivernales - sélection de parties de cartes un peu partout23/1/2017 > THE-ROUNDERdotnet Google calendar.
> THE-ROUNDERdotnet on Facebook. Not much dead money to expect during this series in LAG-land but still a bunch of great tourneys from Novembre 3rd-10th in a city that makes bad beats easy to digest... Get set! Ready? Amsterdam! |
