Whether it will work out, like in the Roberto Blanco song, with 'a world full of sunshine' is questionable in the English Midlands, but fun definitely has to be had with The Festival Series crew.
Nottingham is a little difficult to get to from abroad. London, Manchester and Birmingham are the closest airports, but it still takes one to three hours to reach Nottingham after landing. There is also a smaller airport called East Midlands Airport in the region, but there are not many connections.
Once you make it there, it should be great though. Nottingham is known for its lively nightlife, with plenty of bars, clubs and pubs to choose from. The Lace Market area is particularly popular for its trendy bars and clubs, while the Hockley area is known for its alternative and independent venues. The city also has a number of traditional pubs, many of which have been around for centuries.
The Festival have recently released the leisure programme for the upcoming edition at Dusk Till Dawn, and it looks like a lot of fun.
Nottingham is home to the National Water Sports Centre, which offers a range of activities including kayaking, canoeing ( Side Bet? :-p ) and sailing. The city's parks and gardens, such as Wollaton Park and the Arboretum, are also popular places for outdoor activities. In addition, the city has many cultural attractions such as the Nottingham Castle Museum and Galleries, the Robin Hood statue and the City of Caves.
